I am happy with the motion detection and number of alerts I get (even the one where it was a squirrel eating my pumpkin), and don't feel it needs to change much.
But after 30 minutes or so, everything calmed down and it has been flawless since then. Similarly, trying to change the password threw some unintelligible error code, but I was eventually successful doing that too. Sometimes a "maximum of 2 connections" type of error (despite me being the only user), other times, the video feed just wouldn't load. I immediately started playing with the iOS app, and it threw quite a few errors trying to watch the live stream. It took many tries before the adding the device worked, despite a decent wifi signal, and I almost gave up, but eventually it connect. I had read a lot about needing to separate your 2.5 and 5ghz wifi networks with independent SIDs in order for it to connect, and with an Orbi that's challenging, but fortunately wifi just worked out of the box as is.
I am running firmware 5017 and using the latest iOS software (both iOS and app) on an iPhone 10. Fast forward to this week: I got power and the SkyBell wired up on Oct 31 just in time for Halloween. I bought a SkyBell HD in Jan 2017, and then learned no one had ever run power to the front door of my 110 year old house, so I kind of forgot about it.
